Learn advanced tips and tricks to solve difficult takuzu puzzles. When you have learned our solving techniques, then you can try to play binairo online.
Only use logical deductions.
Scan rows and columns and look for horizontal en vertical duos.
The cells B1 and C1 have a duo and D3 and D4 also have a duo. So A1 and D1 get digit 1 and D2 and D5 get digit 0.
Look in rows and columns for two cells with the same digit and with only one empty cell between them. Then this empty cell gets the other digit to avoid trios.
The cells C2 and C4 have digit 0, so C3 needs digit 1 to avoid a trio.
When reading the takuzu rules we know that every row and every column must contain as many zeros as ones. If the maximum number of zeros or ones is entered in a row or column; then you can enter the remaining missing zeros or ones in that row or column.
In our example, all the ones are entered in column C and row 3. The colored boxes therefore receive a zero.
When solving a binairo puzzle you must pay attention that you do not have identical rows or columns. If you have already entered a row or column and you have a row or column that is almost identical, then this can help to find the missing ones and zeros.
In box E5 we have to enter 0 and in F5 we should place 1 to not have identical rows.
If you enter a zero in the colored box, then all 3 zeros are used up for that row and you are obliged to place number 1 in the 2 remaining boxes which gives you a trio of ones. This is not allowed, so you have to place number 1 in the colored box.
If you have two empty boxes between 0 and 1, you can be sure that one of these boxes will contain the number 1 and number 0 will belong to the other box. This information can help to fill in other boxes.
In B3 or C3 you definitely have to place number 1. Then all the ones are used up for row 3. You must therefore place digit 0 in box E3.
