Sujikai, also known as Sujiken, is a variation of Sudoku, invented by George Heineman (USA). This puzzle is constructed from 45 cells placed in a triangle. Some cells already contain a digit from 1 to 9. You must place a digit in each of the remaining empty cells and find the unique solution following 4 simple rules:

  • No digit occurs twice in any horizontal row.
  • No digit occurs twice in any vertical column.
  • No digit occurs twice in any diagonal.
  • No digit occurs twice in any of the three 3x3 square or 3 triangular regions.

Follow the steps below to solve a Sujikai puzzle from our database.

  • LEV: choose your starting level (1=easy - 3=hard).
  • PUZZLE: enter the number of the Sujiken puzzle you want to solve.
  • START: this Sujikai puzzle is now loaded and the box at the bottom right turns yellow.
  • Click on ⏭ to go to the next puzzle.
  • Choose a box where you want to enter a number. This box will then turn yellow.
  • Choose one of the 9 big numbers if you are sure of your choice
  • Choose one or more of the 9 smaller numbers to indicate possible candidates
  • If you select a number when the box already has a number, then this new number will replace the previous number.
  • You can make a box empty by clicking on the number that is already in the box.
  • Click on ✓ to check the Sujikai puzzle. The wrong boxes turn red. If the puzzle is completely correct, all boxes will turn yellow.
  • Click on SOL to show the solution of the Sujiken puzzle.
