Futoshiki means not equal and is a logical puzzle from Japan. The solution is a Latin square where the numbers 1 to n (n = 5 for our puzzles) must be entered once in each row and column.

There is a symbol > (= greater than) or <(= less than) between certain cells to help you solve the futoshiki puzzle. It is a popular sudoku variant.

You can't change the numbers that are already on the grid when you start. We have given these numbers a bold font.
